Their tea blender grew up on a farm in Kentucky and many of his earliest memories revolved around the smell of freshly plowed earth, the leather on a horse's saddle, or the hayloft of a barn. He wanted to create a tea that reminded him of those experiences. This full-bodied tea is a wonderful cup for breakfast or afternoon tea. Rich and earthy, it will remind you of a morning walk in the Kentucky countryside - thoroughbreds not included.
KENTUCKY TEA JULEP
No Derby Party is complete without a Mint Julep and no Kentucky Tea Party should be without a Kentucky Tea Julep. We've teamed with our friends at Brown-Forman Distillers to bring you the best Kentucky has to offer - Kentucky Blend black tea with Woodford Reserve Bourbon and a splash of Tuaca or Cointreau. You're off to the races!
1 cup , (brewed)
2 ounces Woodford Reserve Bourbon
1 ounce Tuaca Orange-Vanilla Liqueur
1 ounce simple syrup
1 cup crushed ice
1 sprig fresh mint
Brew Kentucky Blend Tea according to label directions. Allow to cool to room temperature.
In a cocktail shaker, muddle (crush) mint with ice.
Add all ingredients and shake vigorously.
Strain into glass half-filled with crushed ice.
Garnish with orange slice and mint.
